Curriculum and Instruction
Students in the Unified School District of De Pere have the opportunity to learn through reading, writing, speaking, listening, drawing, singing, games, and field trips. Students learn complex thinking and communication processes as they apply their knowledge and skills through hands-on activities and other projects. Increasingly, students use technology as part of their preparation in becoming lifelons learners.
Our teachers are highly qualified professionals who devote many hours to making sure our students are well prepared for life. The District encourages teachers to increase their knowledge and skills through staff development programs that include opportunities to take graduate level college classes, attendance at workshops throughout the state, and District staff development days.
The curriculum development process is continuous and provides up-to-date curriculum based on the Wisconsin State Model Academic Standards.
