Long-Range Facilities Planning

Moving Forward Together

USDD staff attend a LRFP Listening Session in the Altmayer commons

USDD is a high-achieving school district. But there are challenges ahead. Help us as we start to look at what the future holds for our students, our finances and our facilities.

The November 2024 Critical Maintenance, Safety & Security referendum helped address some of the most urgent facilities needs at our schools. However, the average age of our buildings is more than 60 years. Also, population changes and District growth patterns affect enrollment at each of our schools differently, due to attendance boundaries.

The District has begun a Long-Range Facilities Planning (LRFP) process to review previous facilities analyses; gather public feedback; and make recommendations to the Board of Education regarding current and future facilities needs. Click this link to view the Long-Range Facilities Plan timeline

The results of our 8 Listening Sessions conducted with staff, students and community members will be posted to this page in May.
