Educational Excellence

As part of the state accountability system, the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) produces report cards for every publicly funded school and district in Wisconsin. These report cards include data on multiple indicators for multiple years across four priority areas (Achievement, Growth, Target Group Outcomes, and On-track to Graduation). In addition, the report cards provide course and program participation information for grades 9-12 for public schools and districts.
How Did De Pere Perform?

Educating All
Our approximately 4300 students come from a myriad of backgrounds: the children of farmers, blue collar workers, large and small business owners, professors, doctors, lawyers and even players or employees of the NFL’s World Champion Green Bay Packers. Many come from families who have lived in De Pere for generations and others are new to the area.

Through residential growth, we have welcomed hundreds of families to a community whose first inhabitants were members of the Winnebago Tribe, and early visitors included French explorers Jean Nicolet and Pere (Father) Marquette, for whom the city is named.
Student-Focused
The District is committed to preparing all learners to be successful and contributing members in our global society. We offer a robust, guaranteed curriculum and a host of exploratory options starting at the earliest grades.

Students experience variety in their coursework from core academic subjects to visual and performing arts, physical education and more. Quality instructional practices by our teachers deliver a classroom experience tailored to meet students where they are in their personal education journey.
Community-Centered
Since the first high school was constructed in De Pere in 1878, the community and the school district have been closely connected. Those connections have grown stonger and deeper with time. Students at all grade levels engage in dozens of community service activities to support the needs local families, individuals and groups.

The City of De Pere and the District collaborate to deliver services ranging from recreation to summer reading programs. Together, we nuture a progressive environment where students and families have abundant opportunities to thrive.
