NOTICE OF NON-CANDIDACY

The Unified School District of De Pere Board of Education has three seats up for the general election on April 1, 2025.

School Board Member - Brittony Cartwright

School Board Member - Adam Clayton

School Board Member - Chad Jeskewitz

Anyone interested in being a candidate for the office of School Board Member in the Unified School District of De Pere and to having their name appear on the Spring 2025 Election Ballot must file a Local Candidate Registration Statement (CF-1L) and a Declaration of Candidacy – School Board Candidates (EL-162sd). These two forms must be filed either by mail or in person and received no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in the USDD district office -1700 Chicago St., De Pere, WI 54115, attention: Joanne DiSalvi

Persons interested in filing candidacy paperwork can download and print the forms or contact Joanne DiSalvi at the district office at 920-983-9174, x 4110, for paper copies.

NOTE: The District Office will be closed December 24 through December 26, 2024 and December 31- January  1, 2025, for winter break. Regular business hours for the District Office are Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.  The District Office will be open until the 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, to receive candidacy documents.

Qualifications for being a School Board Member

1. A citizen of the United States

2. 18 years or age or older; and

3. A resident of the Unified School District of De Pere for at least 28 consecutive days at the time of filing a Declaration of Candidacy.

Important 2025 elections dates

• December 2, 2024 - Earliest Date to file Candidacy papers

• December 27, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – Deadline for incumbents to file Notification of Non-Candidacy and for Clerk to give public notice of Incumbent Noncandidacy (please note district office holiday closure Dec 24-26)

• January 7, 2025, 5:00 p.m. – Deadline for candidates to file Declaration of Candidacy and Local Candidate Registration Statement forms

• February 18, 2025 - Spring Primary (only if more than 6 candidates file candidacy papers)

• April 1, 2025 – Spring Elections

Notice of April 1, 2025 Spring Election

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that an election will be held in the Unified School District of De Pere on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The Unified School District of De Pere has three seats on the Board of Education up for general election. The incumbent members whose terms will expire and are up for election are:

• Brittony Cartwright
• Adam Clayton
• Chad Jeskewitz

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the first day for filing a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy is Monday, December 2, 2024, and that a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy, must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in the office of the school district clerk at 1700 Chicago St, De Pere. 

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that if a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Notice of April 1, 2025, Spring Non-partisan Election and Special Election (Type A Notice published November 2024)

Anyone interested in becoming a candidate for the USDD School Board and having their name appear on the Spring 2024 election ballot must file a Campaign Finance Registration Statement and a  Declaration of Candidacy – School Board Candidates. Persons interested in filing candidacy forms can download and print the forms from the Wisconsin Elections Commission website, or contact Joanne DiSalvi at, 920-337-1032 x 4110, for a candidate packet and more information. The forms must be filed at the district office no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

NOTE:  The District office will be closed December 24-26 and December 31-January 1, 2025. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The district office will be open until 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025, to accept candidacy documents.
