Open Enrollment
The Wisconsin public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply to have their student(s) attend school in a district other than the one in which they live. Students in grades KG-12 are eligible to participate.
The open enrollment application period begins at midnight on Monday, February 2, 2026, and ends at 4:00 p.m. on April 30, 2026. Late applications are not accepted for any reason.
Applications for open enrollment are completed on the Wisconsin Dept. of Public Instruction website. Click the button below to access the application.
