School Safety & Security

Student and staff safety is a top priority

This means being prepared and working to prevent unsafe situations.  It means recognizing potential hazards and taking the appropriate steps to protect yourself, students, colleagues, visitors, family and friends.

We continue to invest in training and practice to be well-prepared for a wide variety of emergency situations, and to support a safe and secure learning environment. In addition, the District values the strong partnerships we have created with our community emergency responders including police, fire, emergency management services, public utilities and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.

There are many reasons your child's school, or the school district, might need to contact you-- from inclement weather that can affect school and bus operations to emergencies at district buildings or grounds. Emergency/Inclement Weather messages are generally sent directly to families/guardians via text message, then via other channels such as email, social media posts or tv/radio announcements.
