Referendum-Related Construction
Critical Maintenance Facilities Referendum Update
In November 2024, voters in the Unified School District of De Pere passed a $22 million referendum to fund critical maintenance, safety and security projects in the District.
Construction of facilities projects included in this referendum began at the end of May 2025 and extended through the summer of 2026. Work included:
- Altmayer Elementary
- Site concrete replacement/repair; asphalt replacement; LED lighting upgrades
- Dickinson Elementary
- New roof; replacement of failed parking, sidewalk and playground concrete; HVAC, fire alarm, electrical, LED lighting and other systems upgrades; exterior louver repairs
- Heritage Elementary
- Repair of all leaking window bump-outs and parking lot asphalt; new LED lighting, replacement of failed bus lot and sidewalk concrete, and health room flooring; other site repairs; new generator; emergency lighting; demolition of rooftop chiller (new chiller installation in Spring 2027)
- Foxview Intermediate
- New windows, LED lighting, roof above the LMC; replacement of office flooring; new fire alarm system; new chiller and boilers
- De Pere Middle School
- New site utilities, concrete and paving, new fire alarm system; new boilers and emergency generator; LED lighting upgrades; repair/replacement of leaking doors/windows
- De Pere High School
- Concrete and asphalt driveways, parking and sidewalks (including District Office area); new site utilities; accessible main entrance; new boilers and rooftop chiller; new track; new theater curtain; site drainage improvements; a new on-site well and other miscellaneous repairs and accessibilty improvements.
