Superintendent's Message

One of the greatest strengths of our district is the unwavering support from our families and community. Whether through volunteerism, partnerships, or advocacy, your involvement plays a vital role in helping our schools thrive. It truly takes a village, and De Pere is a shining example of what is possible when a community comes together around its schools. On behalf of the dedicated staff of the Unified School District of De Pere, it is an honor to welcome you to our school community. My family and I are proud to call De Pere home, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve our students, staff, and families as Interim Superintendent.

For the past 18 years, I have had the privilege of serving as Principal at Foxview Intermediate School, where I’ve witnessed firsthand the strength of our district’s commitment to excellence. In De Pere, students are supported by a highly skilled and collaborative staff focused on continuous improvement in literacy, mathematics, and student engagement. This shared commitment to high-quality instruction and student-centered practices helped lead to Foxview being recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2021—an honor that reflects the collective effort of our entire school community.

Across the District, that same spirit of excellence is evident. Our educators are committed to providing a coherent and rigorous curriculum, using balanced assessment practices, and creating innovative learning opportunities that prepare students for college, career, and life. We take pride in fostering environments where every student feels respected, safe, and supported, and where strong relationships between staff, students, families, and community partners drive success.

Throughout my career—as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal—I have focused on building systems that support continuous improvement, using data to inform decisions, and working collaboratively with staff and stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for students. I am proud of the work we have done together in De Pere to increase student achievement, expand opportunities, and maintain a strong tradition of excellence.

As we move forward, I remain committed to listening, learning, and leading with a focus on what matters most—our students. Thank you for your continued trust and support of the De Pere School District.

It’s A Great Day To Be A Redbird!
