Families are drawn to De Pere not only for its strong sense of community, but also for its demonstrated educational excellence. The district serves students from 4K through grade 12 across a thoughtfully structured system that includes neighborhood elementary schools, Foxview Intermediate School, De Pere Middle School and De Pere High School. In the most recent accountability report from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, the district earned a 5-star “Significantly Exceeds Expectations” rating for the second consecutive year—ranking among the top 4K–12 districts in the state and the highest in northeast Wisconsin. This recognition reflects a consistent focus on high-quality instruction, student growth, and preparation for future success.
On behalf of our dedicated staff, it is an honor to welcome you to our school community. My family and I are proud to call De Pere home, and I am deeply grateful to serve as Interim Superintendent. Over the past 18 years as principal of Foxview, I have seen firsthand the power of strong relationships, skilled educators, and a community deeply invested in its schools. Preparing Students for the future: Graduate Profile
The first pillar of USDD’s Strategic Plan states “Educational Excellence: Students will learn the essential skills for continued education, careers, leadership and life readiness through challenging academic and co-curricular programs.”
In addition to academic knowledge, 8 attributes have been identified as key to students’ school and post-graduation success. The attributes were developed with input from parents, students, teachers, community members, representatives of business and industry, and representatives of higher education. These attributes are identified in our Graduate Profile.
Even at the earliest grades, we seek to nurture the 8 attributes within students. The USDD Learning Continuum describes, using ‘I can…’ statements, development of the Graduate Profile attributes -- at every grade level-- as students progress through the school year.
